Channel 10 National News Broadcast about the Sanfilippo Children's Foundation's $2.5 million 'Brain in a Dish' project. The technology involves taking skin cells from patients, reverse engineering them into stem cells and then developing them into neural cells - an individualised representation of the person's brain. These will be used to screen thousands of new and existing drugs in the search for a treatment or a cure for the rare childhood dementia, Sanfilippo Syndrome.
