World Sanfilippo Awareness Day takes place 16 November each year and aims to spread awareness and spark conversations about Sanfilippo syndrome. This special day honours individuals and families around the world living with Sanfilippo today, and those who have passed away.

By hosting a 'Sprinkles for Sanfilippo' morning tea in the lead up to World Sanfilippo Awareness Day on 16 November you can help spread awareness and raise vital funds to support our work. Registering your event makes it easy to share with your colleagues, friends, family and others and all donations $2 and over are tax deductible.

SEEK OUT A LANDMARK AND TAKE A SELFIE

Landmarks around Australia will be lighting up purple this World Sanfilippo Awareness Day. If you are near one of these iconic Australian landmarks, take a photo or selfie. You can post it to social media or send your photo to info@sanfilippo.org.au. A list of participating landmarks will be listed here closer to the date.

SPARK CONVERSATIONS

Some ways to start a conversation with your personal networks are online via social media using the hashtag #WorldSanfilippoDay, at your child's daycare or school, or at your workplace. You can share our social posts and resources to help people learn more about Sanfilippo.
