Megan Donnell, Founder 

As the founder of the Sanfilippo Children’s Foundation, Megan has oversight of all aspects of the organisation both strategic and operational.

Her key activities include:

  • engaging and aligning with partner organisations and patient groups globally;
  • operational management of the foundation including marketing, communications, and administration;
  • managing the financial position of the organisation, from fundraising and revenue
  • generation through to distribution of funds;
  • executing the foundations’ strategic plan.


Megan lives on the Northern beaches of Sydney and is the mother of two children, Isla and Jude, who both have Sanfilippo Syndrome.


Prior to making the Sanfilippo movement her life’s work, Megan’s occupation was a management consultant, specialising in large-scale IT project management and organisational change management.

Angeline  Veeneman, Patient Information & Programs

Angeline's focus is to bridge the gap between the medical world and patients, and support the access to pioneering treatments for Australian patients.

Her key activities include:

  • building our knowledge base about the disease and associated medical research,
  • collaborating with patient organisations across the world;
  • providing access to clear and up-to-date information about MPSIII for patients and their families;
  • engaging with researchers, specialists, pharmaceutical companies, health organisations and
  • regulatory bodies to establish access programs to clinical treatments;
  • support the planning and implementation of treatment access programs.

Angeline's professional background is in management consulting. She runs her own consulting company, providing specialist project management and Information Technology services to non-profit and commercial organisations. She is a French national married to a Dutch man with twin girls born in Switzerland (and logically calls Australia home).

Mark Arnold, Strategy & Governance

Mark is responsible for strategy and governance of the Sanfilippo Children’s Foundation.


His key activities include:

  • defining organisational strategy to achieve the mission and objectives of the foundation;
  • developing a strategic plan and defining the associated program of activities and projects;
  • establishing processes to facilitate compliance with governance and regulatory requirements.


Mark is a seasoned entrepreneur who has owned and managed a successful consulting practice for the last 7 years.  He is also the father of 3 beautiful girls, finding himself somewhat outnumbered.


Daniel Madhavan, Investments & Networks

Daniel is responsible for Investments & Networks.  His key activities include:

  • Engaging with support networks to promote Foundation awareness
  • Developing aligned partnership initiatives
  • Increasing the scale of Foundation investment
  • Generating measurable social impact strategies 


Daniel is a strategic thinker, people leader and experienced finance professional.  Before joining Impact Investing Australia, Daniel spent 12 years at JBWere across a range of roles.  Daniel resides in Victoria and brings a wealth of experience in the world of financial markets together with a passion for contributing to social change.
